Between now and May 15, 2016, graduate-level writing programs, retreats, and centers can nominate up to two poets. After you make your nominations, we will contact your nominees with information on how to upload two poems each for consideration, free of charge. Nominated poets must meet our eligibility requirements and submit their work between May 15 and June 15.

If your program has never (or has not recently) participated in the nomination process and would like to participate for 2016, contact the series editor and provide:

  • the name of your program
  • your address
  • the number of students enrolled each year
  • your administrator's name, and
  • your administrator's e-mail address (very important.)

You will receive a response with instructions for making nominations.

Announcement of Finalists

We will announce our final 50 poets in August by posting the results on our blog and emailing all of the entrants.

We do not publish the list of semi-finalists whose poems were passed on to the guest editor, and cannot provide this information.
